OTHELLO – The Lord Chamberlain’s Men

19A The Close, Lichfield, WS13 7LD

Description

After the sparkling comedy of last year’s Twelfth Night, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men return to the Festival to present Othello for first time in the company’s history. One of the most thrilling and powerful plays ever written, this stunning and devastatingly poignant work is a story of deception, jealousy and a man that loved not wisely but too well.

With a history stretching back to Shakespeare’s original company, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men bring us this great tragedy as it was first performed – in the open air, with an all-male cast and period Elizabethan costumes, music and dance.

Bring a picnic to make a night of it; doors will open at 5:30pm
